Chai Scones

Warm fall spices with a warm cup of your favorite coffee or tea are a terrific way to treat yourself at breakfast this fall.

What You Need

  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • ½ tsp. Salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Light brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. White Sugar
  • 3 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 4 tsp. Ginger
  • 1 tsp Cardamom
  • 1 tsp Allspice
  • 1 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 tsp Cloves
  • 6 Tbsp. Butter, cubed into pea sized pieces
  • 1 ½ c. Milk
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • 2 tsp. Vanilla extract

 How It’s Made:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Combine all dry ingredients
  3. Combine butter into bowl and mix with fork to pastry cutter to create soft dough balls throughout mixture
  4. In a separate bowl, combine all wet ingredients
  5. Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients and combine until just incorporated. Do not overmix
  6. Scoop out ¼ mixture per ball onto a baking sheet
  7. Bake for 25 minutes
