Dietitian Indulgences

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to eat like a dietitian? It’s no surprise that most of us have a pretty accepting palate to try new things, we still have foods we despise the taste of, foods we like to indulge in, foods we like to go back for seconds for, etc. Sound familiar? Probably like a normal person right? Well, we have access to the same foods as a non-dietitian. Here’s the kicker though, most of us strive to create a MyPlate starting by filling our plate with half vegetables and fruits and then a quarter protein and a quarter carbohydrate and a serving of dairy. That’s the general outline we start with and then move on from there because not every meal is sectioned out like this. Now let’s get to the good stuff. Some of us might not have a sweet tooth but our two Market Street Dietitians aren’t part of that. Brenda loves the rich creamy chocolate desserts and Taylor has 28 sweet teeth and loves it all. However, it’s all in stride and portion sized. Here are some of their current favorites:
