Lifestyle Tags and Your Health Goals

Welcome to the new year! We’re glad you’re here and taking control of your health. We have resources for you all over from in-store and virtual store tours, the new health app, online and in-store lifestyle tag program, meal solutions, online tours, our social media channels, and our wellness blog. While we have a plethora of things on our mind, we want to know what’s going through yours. What are your health goals and how can we help? To kick us off let’s start with our tag program. We have 26 new tags gracing our shelves that might be in-line with some of your existing health goals. Here are our just 5 of some of the ones we get asked about pretty often.

 

Heart Lifestyle Tag: These products follow the requirements laid out by the American Heart Association (AHA) and contain less than 6.5 grams of total fat, 1 gram of less of saturated fat, less than 0.5 grams of trans fat, 20 mg or less of cholesterol, and cannot exceed sodium thresholds outline by AHA serving

 

Paleo Tag: These products are consistent with a paleo-friendly diet. Eating paleo-friendly focuses your caloric intake on lean meats, seafood, vegetables, fruits, nuts, and seeds.  Breads, legumes, peanuts, grains, potatoes, soy, and highly processed foods and sweeteners are typically limited or avoided. 

 

Ketogenic Tag: These products are consistent with a Keto-friendly diet.  Keto -friendly eating focuses your caloric intake on foods that are higher in fat, such as meat, eggs, some dairy, and high-fat plants, while eating far fewer carbohydrates than are found in the typical North American diet. 

 

Dietitian Top Pick Tag: Our team of dietitians have worked in each aisle to help you find products which help you Build a Better Basket, one item at a time.

 

No Sugar Added Tag: These products have been identified by the manufacturer as free from added sugars. These products may also have 0 grams of added sugars on the nutrition facts panel. 

 

While these are just some of the new tags, we’ve got some thoughts. Whether you’re switching up your eating lifestyle totally or making slow subtle changes, both have validity.
