Spice Up Your Hot Chocolate with Tea

Tea is great as tea, but there are so many ways to get creative and use it outside of the traditional method. You could use a lemon ginger tea bag to season your rice or a peppermint tea to season your next batch of muffins or even to up your hot chocolate game. Now hear me out, it may seem a little strange to steep in milk but it helps find a use for the tea bags that might not be your favorite on their own and just need a makeover.

Base Ingredients

¾ c. Fairlife Milk

¾ c. Water

½ Tbsp. Cocoa Powder

1 tsp. Maple Syrup

‘Spice It Up’ Ingredients

Peppermint

2 Tea Bags Peppermint Bark Tea

Candy cane and whipped cream for garnish

Aztec

2 Cinnamon Tea Bags

¼ tsp Cinnamon

1 Pinch Cayenne

Cinnamon stick for garnish

Salted Caramel Chai Peanut Butter

2 Chai Tea Bag

1 Salted Caramel Tea Bag

2 tsp caramel sauce drizzled on top for garnish

Gingersnap

2 Ginger Snappish Tea Bags

1 Pinch Ginger

Cinnamon and whipped cream for garnish

Directions

Microwave the milk and water mixture. Let tea of choice steep for 2-5 minutes according to tea bag instructions.

Whisk in cocoa powder and maple syrup. Enjoy!
