Summer Hydration Must Haves

Be it a day on the beach, a quick car ride, or on a park playdate, in these hot summer temperatures you need plenty of liquid and hydrating snacks that are not only going to nourish your body but also be able to withstand the temps! We’ve got you covered with a few options:

Sparkling Water

Sometimes we need a little pick-me-up from the normal flat water and this is where sparkling water delivers. There are so many different brands and flavors out there now, that the options can seem endless. Make sure to pay attention to the nutrition facts panel to see if there is anything added like artificial sweeteners, caffeine, artificial colors, certain types of fibers and so on that you may not want or like in your water.

Nirvana Water

Need a little HMB or extra electrolytes? This brand has you covered on both ends. Scientifically known as β-hydroxy β-methylbutyrate, HMB is produced naturally in our bodies during the metabolism of the essential amino acid leucine. Leucine can be found in many different types of foods like soybeans, beef and fish. So with their HMB water if you’re looking for the added benefits if you’re aging or an athlete you might benefit from this option. Their electrolytes option is one of our favorites since you may be out in the heat a little more during this hotter time and needing to replenish those levels on certain days.

Produce

Be it freshcut produce, or whole produce it’s an excellent way to help maintain your hydration levels throughout the day. Most fruit is 95% water and has good amounts of vitamins, minerals, and some fiber.

Pouches

Pouches come in handy this time of year with the roadtrips, quick pool bag snacks, or ___. Pouches like mamma chia, signature kitchen apple sauce, fuel for fire and so on have that produce component in them which give you that extra little boost you might be looking for.
