Another way to get the most out of your pumpkins this year outside of table decor, front door or placed around the mantle fire place is to use it as a welcome project. Once someone enters your home for thanksgiving ask them to write 2-5 things they are thankful for (depending on the number of people at your gathering) on the pumpkin. Not only will this spur conversation but it can also put your head and heart in more thankful place. You might be surprised at some of the things people jot down. So take a second this season and put those pumpkins to good use before the season is over.
